π₯ PASADENA VALLEY FIRE
A wildfire sparked by an overturned semi on Interstate 84 east of Glenns Ferry has burned about 1,200 acres. Officials say the Pasadena Valley Fire destroyed a barn and several old vehicles and remains uncontained. Westbound I-84 shut down for several hours.
π HAGERMAN HOUSE FIRE
A house fire near Ritchie Road and White Hawk Lane in Hagerman destroyed a home, two vehicles, and killed two pets yesterday afternoon. Fire officials say the homeowners escaped safely after smelling smoke.
π TWIN FALLS DUPLEX FIRE
A duplex fire on Maurice Street in Twin Falls remains under investigation after flames heavily damaged one unit last night. Everyone escaped safely, and firefighters kept the blaze from spreading to the attached home.

π³ WIND DAMAGE
Strong winds toppled a tree along North 2600 East just north of Highway 30 yesterday, blocking the road and knocking down a power pole. Idaho Power crews worked overnight to clear the tree and restore service. At last check, more than 700 customers were without power across five reported outages.
π DUST STORM CRASH
Idaho State Police are investigating a five-vehicle crash near Soda Springs caused during a dust storm yesterday afternoon. Three people were hospitalized after multiple vehicles collided along Highway 34, blocking traffic for about three hours.

The College of Southern Idaho softball team powered past the Bruins 10 to 2 Wednesday in the Region 18 semifinals. Camryn Guest, Rilyne Keck, and Kyli Carrell all homered in the first inning as the Golden Eagles advanced to face Salt Lake Community College today at noon in the Region 18 Championship.

The Boise State track and field team heads to Clovis, California this weekend for the Mountain West Outdoor Championships. The Broncos enter with several top-ranked athletes, including Kaiya Robertson in the womenβs 15-hundred meters and Raekwon Weatherspoon in the menβs long jump. Competition runs through Saturday.

The Idaho Vandals opened the Big Sky Outdoor Championships strong yesterday as Hanna Tait set a facility record in the heptathlon 100-meter hurdles and built a 146-point lead after day one. The competition continues today in Portland with the long jump, javelin, and 800 meters.

In college golf, Boise Stateβs Leia Chung wrapped up a record-breaking season at the NCAA Stanford Regional, finishing tied for 24th with the best regional score and finish in program history. Chung closed with an even-par 71 as the Broncos prepare to move to the Pac-12 next season.
