🚨 AMBER ALERT CANCELED — JEROME TEEN FOUND
An AMBER Alert issued last night for a missing Jerome teenager has been canceled. Police say 15-year-old Delia and the suspect, 23-year-old Francisco Vargas Pegueros, have both been located. The alert was called off at 9:30 p.m.

⚖️ DOUBLE LIFE SENTENCE IN CASSIA COUNTY MURDERS
Benjamin Naylor will spend the rest of his life in prison after being sentenced yesterday in Cassia County. A judge handed down two consecutive life sentences without parole for the 2025 murders of four people in Minidoka and Cassia counties, including Burley couple Kelly and Donna Jenks.

🏥 MEDICAID EXPANSION REPEAL BILL INTRODUCED
Idaho lawmakers have introduced a bill to repeal Medicaid expansion. The proposal would end the program in 2028, potentially removing health coverage for about 90-thousand Idahoans.

🚓 FATAL PEDESTRIAN CRASH ON I-84
Idaho State Police are investigating a fatal vehicle versus pedestrian crash on Interstate 84 in Minidoka County. Troopers say a man from Florida walking in the westbound lanes was struck and killed by a pickup late last night.

🔥 GARAGE FIRE IN KIMBERLY
Firefighters responded to a garage fire yesterday morning in Kimberly. Rock Creek Fire crews say the blaze was found in the attic of a garage on Glenna Drive and was quickly put out.

GAS PRICES RISING IN IDAHO
Gas prices are climbing across Idaho. The average price for regular is now about $3.24 a gallon, up 27 cents from last week. Analysts say global tensions, including the Iran conflict, are helping push prices higher.

🌲 WILDFIRE PROTECTION FUNDING RESTORED
Idaho lawmakers are restoring some wildfire protection funding. The state budget committee voted to return about $265-thousand dollars to the Idaho Department of Lands to help hire seasonal firefighters this year.

🚩 FLAG RESTRICTION BILL MOVING FORWARD
An Idaho bill that would further restrict flags on government property is moving forward. The proposal would limit newly approved state or city flags and impose fines for violations if government entities don’t comply.

🗳️ POLL WORKERS COULD BE EXCUSED FROM JURY DUTY
Idaho lawmakers are advancing a bill that could let some potential jurors serve as election poll workers instead. The proposal would excuse those volunteers from jury duty for the next two years if they help work in an election.

👧 FOSTER CARE SAFETY BILL PASSES HOUSE
Idaho lawmakers have approved a bill outlining new safety rights for youth in foster care. House Bill 724 passed the House yesterday and would guarantee protections like safe housing, freedom from abuse, and access to medical care. It now heads to the Senate.

DISTRICT FOUR ALL-STAR GAMES WEDNESDAY
The high school basketball season wraps up Wednesday night with the District Four All-Star Games at Kimberly High School. Seniors from across the Magic Valley will take the court one last time. The girls game tips off at 6 p.m., followed by the boys. Players from schools including Wendell, Burley, Twin Falls, Filer, Canyon Ridge, and more will be featured.

🏆 GREAT BASIN ALL-CONFERENCE HONORS ANNOUNCED
The 5A Great Basin Conference has announced its all-conference boys basketball honors. Burley senior Nash Gillette and Twin Falls junior Trey Billings share Player of the Year, while Mac Stannard of Twin Falls was named Coach of the Year after leading the Bruins to a state consolation title. First-team selections include players from Twin Falls, Burley, Minico, and Mountain Home.

🦅 CSI MEN SWEEP REGION — PLAYOFF NEXT
The College of Southern Idaho men’s basketball team swept the Scenic West and Region 18 this season. Head coach Jeff Reinert was named Coach of the Year, while freshman guard Ace Reiser earned Player of the Year honors. The Golden Eagles now head to the District Playoff Saturday against Cochise College in Arizona.

🏀 BOISE STATE WOMEN FALL IN SEMIFINAL
Boise State’s run in the Mountain West Women’s Basketball Tournament ended last night with a heartbreaking 68-66 semifinal loss to Air Force in Las Vegas. Libby Hutton led the Broncos with 25 points, while Dani Bayes and Tatum Thompson each added 10. Boise State finishes the tournament at 25-9 overall.

🏀 IDAHO MEN IN BIG SKY SEMIFINAL TONIGHT
The Idaho Vandals are back in the Big Sky semifinals for the second straight year, taking on Eastern Washington tonight in Boise at Idaho Central Arena. Tipoff is set for 9:30 Mountain Time and the game will air nationally on ESPN2. The winner advances to Wednesday night’s Big Sky Championship game.

🏀 IDAHO WOMEN CHASING BIG SKY TITLE
The Idaho Vandals women’s basketball team continues its Big Sky Tournament run today in Boise. The top-seeded Vandals face Sacramento State in the semifinals at Idaho Central Arena. Idaho enters 27-and-5 overall and riding a 16-game winning streak as they chase a spot in the Big Sky championship game.
