Twin Falls Police are looking for a man who fled after crashing an SUV into a power pole on Filer Avenue West around 8 p.m. last night.
The SUV rolled, hit a parked minivan, and knocked out power to 2,300 homes.
Elmore County deputies pursued a suspect on I-84 after a domestic incident in Mountain Home.
The driver, Matthew Frelleson, fled at high speed before crashing. He was taken to St. Luke’s Elmore, then transferred to St. Alphonsus.

A major $6 million road project begins May 5 on Pole Line Road near Filer.
Crews will build an overpass, widen lanes, and add turn lanes at 2200 East. The road will be closed during construction, which is expected to last up to 90 days.
Construction starts this month on State Highway 75 from Elkhorn Road to River Street.
Crews will widen the road, add bike lanes and sidewalks, and install new traffic signals. Expect traffic shifts and detours through late 2026.

Twin Falls will pump an extra 1 million gallons of water daily from the Eastern Snake Plain Aquifer to support Chobani’s $500 million expansion.
The city says it has the rights and infrastructure, with new sewer and well projects already underway.

Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez packed the Ford Idaho Center in Nampa last night, urging action against oligarchy and calling for universal health care.

In local baseball action from yesterday, in interclass play, Kimberly topped Jerome 11-4.
The Bulldogs jumped out early, leading 8-1 after two innings. Jeremiah Bybee went 3-for-5 with two RBIs. Kimberly improves to 8-5 and hosts Gooding in a doubleheader Wednesday at 4 and 6 p.m. Jerome drops to 7-11 and welcomes Shelley Tuesday at 3:30.
In 4A action, Buhl swept Gooding.
Game one ended in a 13-0 mercy rule win behind Porter Higley’s 4 RBIs. Game two went 7-2, with Chase Craner and Kannon Gambrel leading the Indians. Buhl, now 12-4 overall and 4-1 in the SCIC, hosts Filer in a Wednesday doubleheader. Gooding falls to 6-6, 1-4 in conference and visits Kimberly Wednesday for two.
In 2A, North Star outlasted Glenns Ferry 8-5 in 11 innings.
Glenns Ferry’s offense was led by Peyton Reynolds and Junior Sanchez, but the team struck out 24 times. Glenns Ferry, now 7-8-1, visits Lighthouse Christian Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
In 5A softball, Burley swept Minico 10-1 and 13-3.
Abby Noble starred with a home run and three RBIs in Game 1, while Taylin Beck went 4-for-5 with three RBIs in Game 2. Burley (5-7, 4-2 GBC) visits Preston for a Wednesday doubleheader. Minico (2-14, 0-6) hosts Wood River Thursday at 3 and 5.
Twin Falls rolled past Mountain Home 16-4 and 17-7.
Molly Hodge hit two homers and drove in five in Game 2. Twin Falls (9-9, 6-0 GBC) hosts Canyon Ridge Wednesday at 3 and 5.
In 4A, Kimberly crushed Gooding 16-2 behind 20 hits and big days from Madi Trappen and Hope Ward.
Kimberly (16-2, 3-0 SCIC) hosts Filer Monday. Gooding (8-4, 2-1) visits Buhl Thursday for a doubleheader.
Buhl split with Filer, winning Game 1 5-3 thanks to a three-run homer by Megan Ambrose.
Filer bounced back 7-4 behind Ava Smith’s complete game. Buhl (6-7, 1-4 SCIC) hosts Gooding Thursday. Filer (5-10, 2-3) welcomes Jerome Friday.
In 2A, Glenns Ferry beat Wilder 17-5.
Sahira Arevalo had a double, triple, and two RBIs. Peyton Stewart struck out eight. Glenns Ferry (11-2, 7-0 WIC) visits Idaho City Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.
The College of Southern Idaho will induct Lindsey Anderson and Dennis Bowyer into its Athletic Hall of Fame on April 25.
Anderson led CSI Cross Country to national titles, while Bowyer, a 1976 basketball champ, remains a beloved Twin Falls community leader.
New Idaho head coach Thomas Ford takes over a Vandal team fresh off a 10-win season, including an FBS win over Wyoming and a playoff victory over Lehigh.
With a perfect 7-0 home record last year, the Vandals aim to rise to the top of the Big Sky.
