🚨 CRIME & ACCIDENTS
- Twin Falls Fatal Crashes:
Two deadly crashes occurred yesterday on I-84. Around 9:30 a.m., a Burley man was killed when a pickup rolled after being hit by a Jetta. Later, a motorcyclist from Minnesota died after colliding with a semi near milepost 184. Westbound lanes were closed for hours. - Canal Truck Crash:
A truck was discovered flipped in a canal near 3600 East and Highway 50. The driver fled the scene. Authorities are investigating, and the road has reopened. - Highway 55 Fatality:
A McCall man died Monday morning after hitting two trucks. ISP says he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt and had crossed the center line. The road was closed for three hours. - Bryan Kohberger Update:
The judge may delay Kohberger’s murder trial. He’s accused of killing four University of Idaho students. A new witness—reportedly a pizza delivery driver—claims to have seen him near the crime scene that night. The defense hasn’t yet responded.

- Labrador Drops Lawsuit:
Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador dropped his lawsuit against the State Board of Education over closed meetings regarding the failed University of Phoenix deal. The two-year legal battle challenged the board’s adherence to Idaho’s open meeting laws.

- Idaho Power Readiness:
With a severe wildfire season expected, Idaho Power is activating safety protocols including manual line re-energization. Residents should expect longer outages and prepare emergency kits.

- Air Race Classic Lands in Jerome:
The all-women Air Race Classic is stopping in Jerome County today—its first time there. About 80 pilots are expected. The public is invited to meet them at the Jerome County Airport.

- North Five Points Signal Upgrade:
Traffic signal improvements begin Sunday night at North Five Points in Twin Falls. Work will occur from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday. Expect flashing red lights, delays, and flaggers.

- Twin Falls AA: Lost 7-2 to the Nevada Sparks despite a sac fly by Bryce Mahlke. Record now 7-5. Next up: Sunday doubleheader vs. Eugene Challengers.
- Twin Falls Hawks (A): Swept Buhl in walk-off wins, 8-7 and 10-9. Game-winners from Kennan Huettig and Bo Stringer. Now 8-2. Play at Jerome Friday.
- Jerome Cyclones A: Beat Minico 7-3 with a 5-run second inning and complete game from Mason Garcia.
- Post 4 Rays (B): Dominated Filer Cats 18-1 and 17-12. Filer hosts Gooding Thursday. Minico AA faces Post 56 Knights Monday.
- High School All-State Teams:
Twin Falls’ Cooper Thompson and Maddox Stadelmeir earned 5A first-team honors. Glenns Ferry had three on the 2A list. Other honorees include players from Burley, Wendell, and Kimberly. - Boise State Highlights:
- Football: Kage Casey named to Phil Steele’s Preseason All-America Fourth Team. No sacks allowed last season.
- Basketball: Boise State and Butler start a home-and-home series. The Broncos visit Hinkle Fieldhouse Dec. 6. Butler visits Boise in 2026.
