🚔 TWIN FALLS SHOTS FIRED
Twin Falls Police are investigating reports of shots fired early yesterday morning on Madrona Street. Officers responded just before 3 a.m., located everyone involved, and say no one was injured. Investigators are still determining who fired the shots.
🚚 STOLEN BOX TRUCK CHASE
A man accused of stealing a box truck in Caldwell and leading officers on a chase into the Magic Valley is now facing multiple felony charges. 34-year-old Ashby Skeen was captured near Jerome after fleeing on foot and is being held on $150,000 bond.
🚨 DEADLY INTERSTATE 15 CRASH
Idaho State Police are investigating a deadly crash on Interstate 15 near Idaho Falls. A 25-year-old Pocatello man was reportedly running through traffic early Tuesday morning when he was struck and killed by a northbound semi-truck. The interstate was closed for about five hours during the investigation.
⛽ IDAHO GAS PRICES
Idaho drivers are paying more at the pump today. AAA says the state’s average gas price jumped 10 cents overnight to $4.15 a gallon. Twin Falls saw an 11-cent increase to $4.14.

Looking to buy a home? A new Zillow analysis shows Kimberly has the highest home values in the Twin Falls area, with a typical price of just over $457,000. Eden ranks second, followed by Filer, while the typical home value in Twin Falls comes in at about $374,000.
🍽️ MEALS ON WHEELS FUNDRAISERS
The Twin Falls Senior Center is hosting several fundraisers to help restore Meals on Wheels back to five days a week. A walkathon starts Thursday, a car wash is set for Saturday, and an indoor yard sale is planned for August 1st to support local seniors.

🚒 CASSIA COUNTY SALVAGE YARD FIRE
Firefighters stopped a fast-moving fire at an equipment salvage yard in rural Cassia County Tuesday afternoon. Several outbuildings were damaged, but crews prevented the flames from spreading into the nearby South Hills.
🔥 OHIO FIRE CONTAINED
The Ohio Fire east of Hailey is now 100% contained after burning just over 2,000 acres. Firefighters will continue mopping up hot spots, while some nearby neighborhoods remain on SET evacuation status.
💰 IDAHO WILDFIRE COSTS
Idaho has already spent more than $20 million fighting wildfires this year, with officials warning conditions will only get worse through August. More than 60,000 acres have burned statewide, and the state is also considering higher wildfire protection fees to help cover future firefighting costs.

🦟 WEST NILE VIRUS
West Nile virus has been detected in mosquitoes in Canyon County for the first time this season. The positive mosquitoes were found near Caldwell, and the area has already been treated. Health officials remind everyone to drain standing water and use insect repellent, especially at dawn and dusk.
☣️ HARMFUL ALGAE ADVISORY
Idaho health officials are warning people to stay out of Brownlee and Hells Canyon reservoirs after water samples found high levels of toxin-producing cyanobacteria. The harmful algae can cause rashes, headaches, stomach illness, and can be especially dangerous for pets and livestock. Officials say avoid swimming, don’t drink or boil the water, and keep animals away until the advisory is lifted.

⚾ BURLEY GREEN SOX
The Burley Green Sox head to Nampa today for the Legion “A” State Tournament after an outstanding 34-and-6 regular season. The defending state champs open their title defense tomorrow morning at 10 against Middleton. Head coach Devin Kunz says the message is simple: empty the tank and leave everything on the field as the Green Sox chase another championship.
⚾ TWIN FALLS AA COWBOYS
The Twin Falls AA Cowboys begin the American Legion AA State Tournament tomorrow morning in Lewiston, taking on the Prairie Cardinals at 9 a.m. After coming up just short of a state title last year, head coach Tim Stadelmeir says his team is ready to give everything they’ve got as they chase a championship and represent Twin Falls baseball one more time.
🏈 IDAHO STATE FOOTBALL
Idaho State football is set to open Fall Camp next week as the Bengals prepare for the 2026 season. Head coach Cody Hawkins says the team is ahead of schedule after a competitive summer and expects plenty of new faces to make an impact. Idaho State returns standout quarterback Jordan Cooke and thousand-yard rusher Dason Brooks, with seven home games on the schedule before opening the season August 29th against VMI in the ICCU Dome.
🤠 BLACK CANYON RODEO
Rodeo fans have another big event to look forward to. The Black Canyon Stock Show and Rodeo returns to the Gem and Boise County Fair July 30th through August 1st. Gates open nightly at 6, with pre-rodeo events at 7 and the main rodeo beginning at 8 p.m.
