🔫 Juvenile Arrested After Armed Road Rage Incident
A tense scene unfolded in Twin Falls Saturday afternoon when a juvenile was arrested for aggravated assault after brandishing an AR-15 style rifle during a road altercation near Blue Lakes and Addison. Police tracked the suspect’s vehicle to Target, recovered the weapon, and took the youth into custody.
✈️ Qatari Air Force Facility Coming to Mountain Home AFB
The U.S. Department of Defense announced plans for a Qatari Air Force training facility at Mountain Home Air Force Base, which will host Qatari F-15 fighter jets and pilots for joint operations and exercises.
🚗 Fatal Crash in Elmore County
Idaho State Police are investigating a fatal crash on I-84 near milepost 80 late Saturday night. A 46-year-old Nampa woman died when her Toyota Tacoma left the roadway and overturned. A juvenile passenger was airlifted to a nearby hospital. Eastbound lanes were blocked for about an hour.
🌊 Shoshone Falls Grade Reopens
The City of Twin Falls has reopened the lower Shoshone Falls Grade after heavy runoff earlier this month caused erosion and temporary closure. City crews repaired damage from overflow at Dierkes Lake.
💰 Idaho Faces $56.6 Million Budget Deficit
State revenues are running nearly 7% below forecast, triggering what Governor Brad Little calls an “unconstitutional shortfall.” A 3% spending cut is already in effect for most agencies, with more reductions possible. Major tax cuts and education tax credits are being blamed for reduced income.

On the girls’ side, Wendell blanked Filer 3-0 to face Kimberly, and Buhl defeated Bliss 4-1 to meet Sun Valley. Other results: Sun Valley 5, Declo 0; Kimberly 9, Gooding 0.
🏈 High School Football: Late-Game Drama!
With three weeks left in the regular season, Jerome beat Burley 35-28 on a last-minute 44-yard touchdown pass. Gooding improved to 4-2 with a 30-22 win over Filer.
In 5A, Minico shut out Canyon Ridge 12-0, while Twin Falls faced unbeaten Hillcrest.
Kimberly topped Wood River 21-0, Declo crushed Soda Springs 42-0, Hagerman overpowered Glenns Ferry 52-6, Oakley broke its losing streak beating Murtaugh 44-36, and Carey remained undefeated at 7-0 with a 52-0 rout of Dietrich.

🏐 College Highlights
CSI men fell to North Idaho 4-1, but the Golden Eagle women bounced back 2-1. CSI closes the regular season this week hosting Colorado Northwestern (Thursday) and Salt Lake CC (Saturday).
The #14 CSI Volleyball Team beat Snow College in four sets.
🏈 College Football
Boise State defeated New Mexico 41-25, extending its home winning streak to 15 games, tied with Alabama for the longest in the nation. Next up: UNLV, Saturday 1:30 PM on FS1.
The Idaho Vandals fell to Northern Colorado 49-33, dropping to 2-4.
Idaho State lost to #5 Montana State 48-14, entering its bye week before Homecoming vs. Northern Arizona Oct. 25.
⚽ Women’s Soccer
Boise State’s Cindy Conner and Kenzie MacMillan led a 2-1 comeback win over Fresno State, keeping the Broncos unbeaten in Mountain West play with 14 points. They visit San Diego State Thursday at 8 PM.
