Sports 4/15/24



In college softball, From Boise State University, Alycia Flores was 3-for-4 with three RBI to lead Boise State past Fresno State 10-5, Saturday. 



The Idaho State Bengals bounced back in Big Sky Conference play and completed the series sweep vs the Montana Griz winning game three 9-0 in Missoula.



After falling to the Bruins in two games Friday, the 11th-ranked College of Southern Idaho Softball Team beat sixth-ranked Salt Lake CC 10-2 and 14-5 to get the weekend split in Scenic West Athletic Conference play.  CSI, 31-11 overall and 21-5 in conference play, travels to

Snow College next Friday and Saturday.



In College baseball, The College of Southern Idaho took game one on Saturday 6-5 in extra innings before falling to Salt Lake 13-5 in game two of Scenic West Athletic Conference play.  CSI, 22-21 overall and 7-14 in conference play, hosts USU Club Team Tuesday in non-conference action.



From high school baseball games from the weekend, on Saturday, Malad downed Declo 18 to 0.  Filer said no to Soda Springs 21 to 7.  Gooding ousted Glenns Ferry 12 to 0.  Then Glenns Ferry said no to Soda Springs 11 to 8.  Kimberly downed South Fremont 10 to 0 in the first game of a double Header.  In the Second, South Freemont turned it around 12 to 11.  Grangeville downed Lighthouse Christian 17 to 2.  Malad also told Lighthouse no with a 21 to 0 score.  Wendell tied it up with Challis Mackay 5 each.  Grangeville defeated Wendell 12 to 2. 



As far as the softball games, Grangeville said no to Glenns Ferry 9 to 5.  Malad outlasted Wendell 13 to 3.  Burley defeated Shelly 15 to 2 in game 1 Shelley defeated Burley 7 to 6 in Game 2.  Blackfoot defeated Jerome, 6 to 5 in the first game 15 to 14 in the second.  Nampa Christian ousted Wendell 6 to 4  Marsh Valley took the win over Kimberly 9 to 8. 



On today’s baseball schedule, Canyon Ridge Travels to Wood River, Twin Falls crosses the bridge to play Jerome, Lighthouse is on the bus to Rimrock.  For Softball, Twin Falls visits Jerome, Canyon Ridge heads to Wood River, Notus goes to Glenns Ferry.
