Increase in your wages. Idaho’s median hourly wage increased more than 10% in the last year. The median wage rose from $19.26 per hour in 2022 to $21.27 per hour in 2023 for a 10.4% increase. The average hourly wage for all occupations in Idaho was $26.75 per hour in 2023. For people working 40 hours a week, the new median is $851 per week, or $44,242 per year.
A light magnitude 2.1 earthquake hit the Stanley area early yesterday morning. It happened at 12.46 am. The quake had a very shallow depth of 1.6 mi and was not felt or at least not reported.
A Boise man has been arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter for allegedly providing the drugs that killed a woman. 50-year-old Jeremiah Allen has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and a slew of other drug charges. The investigation found that the female died from a mix of fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, and PHP.
Free Speech. The Coeur d'Alene Prosecutor's Office will not charge the man who allegedly yelled racial slurs at the Utah women's basketball team in March due to "insufficient evidence." In late March two women's basketball teams were walking to dinner in downtown Coeur d'Alene when a truck with a confederate flag stopped and began yelling racial slurs.

Idaho Governor Brad Little has made some major changes in his senior staff. Governor Little appointed his budget chief, Alex Adams, to be the director of the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare. Little also selected Lori Wolff to serve as administrator of the Division of Financial Management. He also promoted Sara Stover to serve as deputy chief of staff in his office.
