Idaho’s Governor speaks out about illegal camping. Saying that his administration will enforce the laws, Idaho Governor Brad Little said the gem state is not Portland, L.A., San Francisco or Seattle where they tolerate unsafe and destructive public camping. The governor is referring to pro-palestine protests near the Idaho Capitol where police confiscated items and physically removed the protesters earlier this week.
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has set aside $28.6 million to identify and replace lead pipes in Idaho. There is no safe lead exposure level for children, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Idaho’s delegation in Washington DC said there will be seven “Passport Fairs” to be held throughout the state from May 29 to June 1. There will be an event in Twin Falls. Idahoans in need of a passport, or those whose passports have expired or will expire in the next year, may register for an appointment.

Due to the enactment of recent legislation, Southeastern Idaho Public Health, or SIPH, will no longer provide services to clients under 18 without a signed consent form from their parent or legal guardian beginning July 1.

Jurors viewed a significant amount of evidence Thursday, as the state's triple murder case against Chad Daybell. The state showing jurors tools found on Chad Daybell's property, some of which, including a shovel and a pickaxe, tested positive for human remains.
A bank robber who most recently lived in Gooding, Mountain Home, and Boise has been sentenced to 13 years in federal prison following a September 1, 2023 robbery of the Bank of Commerce in American Falls. 50-year-old Steven James Parker entered the bank with a gun drawn. Parker ordering employees to fill a grocery bag with money.
