Bryan Kohberger said he was out driving the night of the killings on November 13, 2022.  Kohberger who is accused of killing 4 U of I students said he drove throughout the area in the early morning hours as he often did to see the moon and stars. 



Idaho's longest-serving Democratic Representative, Sue Chew, has died. She represented Boise's District 17 for 18 years.



Idaho’s water supply is sufficient, with parts of North Idaho being the exception.  While most parts of Idaho started out the winter with weak snowfall and rain, snow in March and early April across southern Idaho brought many basins closer to normal snowpack conditions.  In places like Owyhee County there is a supply for the next two years.



The Idaho State Fire Marshal's Office has named Jennifer Mares the first female fire marshal in state history. Originally from Carey Mares went to the College of Southern Idaho as a part of the fire science program and learned much of the investigative and preventive side of fire work.



Kimberly resident Elle Taylor is preparing to be part of the Miss Idaho USA Pageant.  The event is June 22nd and 23rd.  The contestant is a quine phychotherapist and with her platform she plans on visiting different schools and institutions to share her story and encourage all to not give up.



A Texas man has pleaded guilty to tax fraud and extortion of foreign farmworkers working in Idaho.  62 year old Ernesto Garibay Garza was a supervisor and foreman of farmworkers at F.D.C., an agricultural services company that operates in Idaho farms, including Glenns Ferry. From 2014 to 2019 he charged the workers a flat fee ranging from $750 to $2,500 to work at the company. 



The U of  I could soon unveil a new plan to purchase the University of Phoenix according to the school president.  C. Scott Green is not offering details to the plan but said behind the scenes talks continue.  The senate rejected a bill to revamp the purchase.
