A Paul woman died from her injuries following a two car pileup Wednesday.  Idaho State Police say 39 year old Sonia Vega was driving south on 500 west when a juvenile driver failed to stop at a stop sign.  The juvenile driver and two juvenile passengers were taken for medical treatment at a nearby hospital.  Vega died at the scene.

Idaho officials seized 34 venomous snakes from the home of a 25-year-old man in Boise.  A city code in Boise bans ownership of nearly all venomous snakes except those native to North America.  Charges are pending.

Lori Vallow Daybell plead not guilty yesterday to two felony counts of conspiracy to alter or destroy evidence in connection to the deaths of her two children.  The bodies were discovered on property owned by her husband Chad Daybell.  She is being held on a million dollar bond.  A jury trial scheduled for April of next year.

A fiery head on crash near Rogerson Wednesday evening has claimed the life of one person.  Police say a motorist in a passenger car was southbound on Highway 93 passing a semi-truck when the car struck a northbound semi.  Both vehicles were fully engulfed in flames sparking a wildfire.  The truck was driven by 53 year old Salvador Ramirez-Ruiz of Jerome.  The driver of the passenger vehicle has yet to be identified.  The road was blocked for about five hours.

Some changes have been ordered for Murtaugh school district students.  Last night the district said that in addition to two last week, four additional students have tested positive for the coronavirus this week.  Because of that, the district will not allow any fans at the football game tonight and classes at the Junior/Senior High School will be held online only.  Elementary students will be allowed in their classrooms. 

Elko County authorities confirm that a woman faces attempted murder after she attempted to shoot her ex-boyfriend in Wells Nevada.  Sabrina Yeager allegedly fired a 9 mm handgun at a vehicle occupied by her ex-boyfriend.  There were no injuries and Yeager fled the scene.

Born on this day, was Jimmie Davis, singer, songwriter, who served two nonconsecutive terms as the 47th Governor of Louisiana (1944-1948 and 1960-1964). Davis was a nationally popular country music and gospel singer from the 1930s into the 1960s, occasionally recording and performing as late as the early 1990s. He is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame and The Louisiana Music Hall of Fame. Davis died on November 5, 2000.

1972
Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton released the album Together Always. The album contains their hit "Lost Forever in Your Kiss", in addition to the humorous "Ten Four — Over and Out", which exploited the C.B. radio craze a few years before it became a major phenomenon in the US. The album peaked at #3 on the US Billboard Hot Country LP's chart.

Born on this day in Augusta, Georgia, was Charles Kelley, country music singer-songwriter with Lady Antebellum, who scored the 2009 US #1 Country hit "I Run To You." The group won five awards at the 2011 Grammy Awards, including Song of the Year and Record of the Year for "Need You Now." Lady Antebellum was also awarded the Best Country Album award at the 54th Grammy Awards.

Barbara Mandrell was seriously injured in a car accident. She suffered multiple injuries and severe concussion that caused temporary memory loss, confusion, and speech difficulties. She took an 18-month sabbatical from performing to recover.

Merle Haggard married Theresa Ann Lane, the couple have two They have two children, Jenessa and Ben. Haggard has been married five times.

2001
Filmmaker and music video director Carolyn Mayer Beug, was one of the passengers who died when American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the World Trade Center. Also on the plane with her was her mother, Mary Alice Wahlstrom. Beug had directed several music videos for country singer Dwight Yoakam.

2007
Kenny Chesney released his eleventh studio album Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates which became his fifth US #1 on the Billboard chart. The album's singles "Never Wanted Nothing More", "Better as a Memory" and "Don't Blink" all reached #1 on the Hot Country Songs charts.
