The three year old girl who was stabbed at her birthday party at a Boise apartment complex has died.  Meanwhile, the man charged in a mass stabbing  was in court yesterday. Timmy Kinner has been charged with injuring nine people in the attack and now one count of murder.

A Meridian police officer who was wounded in a shootout with a suspect on Sunday is in good condition after undergoing surgery. The officer returned fire killing one person. 

A wildfire at 3100 Foothills road in Twin Falls county continues to burn.  It was reported just before 11:30 yesterday.  It’s burned hundreds of acres after initially burning about 25.   

At their Idaho convention, Republicans spiked a last-ditch effort calling for harsher punishments for employers who hire workers living the country illegally. The event wrapped up Sunday.

The Twin Falls Fire Department is reminding residents to use only “Safe and Sane” fireworks this Fourth of July. Twin Falls firefighters have already extinguished small brush fires this summer, as grasses and other fuels are plentiful and dry, and are concerned about the growing risk of aerial and other illegal fireworks to public safety and property.

There’s stair climbing and then theirs world trade center STAIR CLIMBING!  Justin Jensen from the Burley Fire Department climbed 80 floors finishing in about an hour Sunday morning with full fire department gear on.  On Sunday, he carried the spirit of fallen New York firefighters who died during the tragic events of September 11, 2001.

 300 new laws have gone into effect in Idaho and one of them is the left lane driving law. The new law will allow police to ticket anyone traveling too slow in the left lane, causing a traffic jam.  An Idaho State Police officer believes this law will be difficult to enforce.

Idaho correctional officials say the state's criminal justice crisis has escalated to a point where it might declare an emergency and begin housing overflow inmates in National Guard barracks.  The National Guard will submit their analysis of using the barracks for inmates by the end of the week.
