No injuries were reported when a school bus carrying 12 students to Xavier Charter School was rear-ended.  The crash happened around 7:30 am yesterday near 7th Avenue and Shoshone Street in Twin Falls.  Police suspect one car hit another car pushing it into the back of the school bus. 

37 year old Michael Thompson of Heyburn has been arrested over items that had been stolen from Stokes Market in 2016.  The Burley store employee, who police said stole thousands of dollars in tools and other items from the store, is charged with grand theft and burglary.  Over 88-hundred dollars in merchandise has been recovered.

A disturbing picture has surfaced from the Canyon Ridge High School graduation.  While seniors walked across the state, an image of someone holding an umbrella to simulate a gun is clearly visible.  If you have info about the incident you are asked to contact either the CSI security or the Twin Falls School District.

39 year old Phillip Cabrera of Caldwell has been sentenced to spend life in prison.  The man broke into his estranged wife’s home and fatally shot another man.  Cabrera believed his wife was cheating on him.

A 27-year-old southwestern Idaho man died after being struck by a train near Weiser. The Washington County Sheriff's Office says Jorge Perez of Nampa on Sunday was walking on the railroad tracks back to where he was camped when he was hit by the train.

The widow of a northern Idaho man killed by Bonner County sheriff's deputies last year has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the department.  Robin Andrews filed the lawsuit Monday after her husband Craig A. Johnson died in September 2017.  Deputies had opened fire on Johnson while attempting to serve him a felony arrest warrant at the couple's cabin.

A DNA study of sage grouse has revealed a vast network of mating grounds in the U.S. West is similar to regional airport hubs that the imperiled species is using to maintain genetic diversity across its entire range.  Officials in 2015 opted not to list the chicken-sized, ground-dwelling bird as needing federal protections, but they are scheduled to review that decision in 2020.

Born on this day, was Curtis Wright, American country music artist. He made his debut in 1989 with the single "She's Got a Man on her Mind". By 1994, he and frequent songwriting partner Robert Ellis Orrall had formed a duo known as Orrall & Wright who wrote Ronnie Milsap's #1 single "A Woman in Love".


Lynn Anderson was at #1 on the country music album chart with Rose Garden. The title track went on to top the country charts, where it stayed at the #1 position for five weeks, and reached #3 on the pop charts in 1971. Anderson received a Grammy Award for the song for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.


Born on this day in Surrey, British Columbia, was Canadian country music singer/songwriter and actress, Lisa Brokop, who has charted more than twenty singles on the country music charts in her native Canada.


RCA Records released "I Will Always Love You" by Dolly Parton, the second single from Parton's thirteenth solo studio album, Jolene. Recorded on June 13, 1973, the singer wrote the song for her one-time partner and mentor Porter Wagoner, from whom she was professionally splitting at the time.


Born on this day in Mount Clemens, Michigan, was Matthew Shafer known as Uncle Kracker who scored the US #6 Country single "Smile" in 2009 which was taken from his album Happy Hour.


The movie Urban Cowboy, starring John Travolta and Debra Winger, opened in American theaters. The movie, which showcased Mickey Gilley's nightclub, was a huge success at the box office and its soundtrack included several major hits.


Rascal Flatts held the top position on the country charts with Me and My Gang. The album went double platinum in the first month of release and has sold almost 5m copies in the US. The singles released from this album included "What Hurts the Most".
