Two women, one from Twin Falls, died of their injuries sustained in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 55, south of McCall just after 1 on Friday afternoon.  Police say a man from Boise was driving south in a pickup, when he crossed the center line and sideswiped a suv.  The vehicle, driven by a 70-year-old woman from Cascade, then crossed into the southbound lane and hit another small car, driven by a 28-year-old woman from Twin Falls.  Anyone who has any information about this incident are asked to contact Idaho State Police.

Idahoans should be wary of scam mailers that look like official government letters but are advertisements for private tax attorneys who are “attempting to drum up business,” according to the Idaho Attorney General.  The inside of the mailer states that the recipient owes unpaid taxes, and a lien will be placed on their property until the debt is paid. It appears the company has mined public tax records to locate information.

On Saturday, officials from the Idaho Secretary of State’s Office begin auditing a sample of paper ballots cast in eight, randomly drawn counties during the recent general election.  They expect to wrap up by tomorrow. 

Moscow Police are providing further clarity after University of Idaho murders.  Police said the 911 call was made from within the residence on one of the roommates' phones, shortly before officers arrived.  Police said none of the victims were sexually assaulted, each was stabbed multiple times, some had defensive wounds and they were most likely asleep when they were attacked.

Officials with the academic leadership team at the University of Idaho are discussing options pertaining to class participation, following the Thanksgiving break.  According to an email sent to students over the weekend, they will be receiving communication early next week about what options will be available for the remainder of the course.

For the ninth month in a row, Idaho's unemployment rate was listed below 3%; however, it did increase slightly from the prior month. Idaho's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for October was 2.9%, a 0.1% increase from September.  Twin Falls' 4.3% increase of year-over-year nonfarm jobs led the state.

The Oakley football program will bring another state championship trophy back home.  The final Oakley 58 Grace 20.  After beating Raft River in the last two state championship games, Oakley becomes the first Idaho 8-man program to pull off a three-peat.

Both undefeated teams met in Pocatello over the weekend to decide who will take home the state football title and trophy.  The final Kendrick 42, Dietrich 3

The No. 9 CSI women’s basketball team had no trouble with Central Wyoming Friday night.  The final CSI 80, Central Wyoming 34.

For the men it was CSI 84, Wenatchee Valley 55.

Cameron Gooden had 27 points in Utah Tech’s 81-71 win over Idaho on Saturday night.  Isaac Jones led the way for the Vandals with 25 points, six rebounds and two steals. Idaho also got 16 points and six assists from Divant’e Moffitt. In addition, Rashad Smith had 12 points.

Roshaun Johnson had three short touchdown runs, Marcus Harris returned an interception 56 yards for a score and Idaho breezed to a 38-7 victory over Idaho State on Saturday.  Johnson gave Idaho a first-quarter lead with a 2-yard run and gave the Vandals the lead for good on a 4-yard run. Harris followed with his pick-6 less than two minutes later and Idaho never looked back.

Tommy Bruner buried a 3-pointer on the final shot of the game and Denver rallied late to beat Idaho State 70-69 on Friday night.  Both teams play on Wednesday. Denver plays IUPUI while Idaho State travels to play Lindenwood.

After a lackluster start in Laramie, Boise State found a way to gain momentum and reach the end zone in the second half to defeat Wyoming 20-17. Standout safety JL Skinner saved the day with back-to-back interceptions late in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.  Saturday's win gives Boise State the Mountain Division title and the rights to host the Mountain West Championship Game on The Blue Dec. 3.

From the Girls High School scoreboard from the weekend, Snake River Downed Filer 55 to 27 Friday night.  Hagerman defeated Twin Falls Christian Academy 17 to 14.  Ambrose ousted Lighthouse Christian 59 to 58.  Grace outlasted Murtaugh 50 to 41.  Declo defeated Valley 58 to 39 and it was Canyon Ridge 58 to Vallivue 28.  Mountain Home defeated Buhl 38 to 29.  Kimberly said no to Jerome 45 to 39.  It was Glenns Ferry defeating Castleford 59 to 42 and Shoshone outlasting Hagerman 44 to 9.  On the schedule for the girls Wendell travels to Murtaugh and Glenns Ferry heads to Rimrock.
